About People For Animals (PFA) Siliguri

menaka_gandhi1People For Animals also known as PFA is India’s largest animal welfare organization by Smt. Maneka Gandhi, with a nationwide network of 26 hospitals, 165 units and 2.5 Lakh members. We work to rescue check-up camp and rehabilitate sick and needy animals. We set up and run shelters, ambulance services, sterilization programmes, treatment camps and disaster rescue missions for animals. We conduct education programmes in schools, fight cases in court and lobby on animal issues in parliament. At present, PFA have a nationwide network of 165 units, 26 hospitals and 60 mobile units.

People For Animals (PFA) Siliguri was started 6 years back with the sole motive of protecting and caring for the Animals in and around our city. PFA Siliguri has been carrying out several animal rescue projects, Free Animal Health Check-up Camps, Spot Treatment of Street injured animals, Rescue and Rehabilitate Wild Animal, various programmers’ and processions to create awareness between man and animals and to fight litigation cases for protection of animals. Currently PFA Siliguri has huge members from different field of society and works unselfishly for the animals of the society.
